Remark: It seems that Holmquist developed menthal health issues by 1935, stealing valuable historic books from scholars he visited. After he fled to England in 1937 he was sent back to Sweden, but managed to swallow poison while still on board the ship 'Patricia', despite being under supervision. He died shortly before the ship reached Gothenburg harbour.
